Which God Do You Serve?

No, seriously, I want to know.

Is it the god of health? The god of nutrition? The god of physical fitness, the god of food or the god of running?

The god of nature? The god of outdoor recreation, fly fishing or hunting?

The god of orderliness, efficiency, of a clean house or of minimalism?

The god of politics, current events or the news?

The god of children or at least having them? Or of not having?

The god of animals or of cats?

The god of yourself, personal pleasure or of ease?

The God of heaven, of atheism or of science?

The god of money, personal accomplishment or even the god of knowing thyself?

The god of sleep?

The god of productivity?

I'm a people watcher. I enjoy watching long running shows like The Amazing Race or Survivor simply for the people watching element. I enjoy watching and seeing when certain terms start being used like racism or patriarchy. I enjoy watching for when culture starts to shift. Don't get me wrong my observations are not limited to game shows. I basically salivate at large gatherings and am more excited for the buffet of observations and interactions than the actual food and I love food.

One (of many) things I have noticed is the human need to serve.... something. Sometimes anything. Would it not be wise to recognize what we are serving? And serve them in the right order?

Happy 2021!
